The first thing to know about the story of us, is that neither of us thought we’d end up here. Brielle and I met on a dating app while she was in the throes of her third year of medical school and I was making my way through my first year of residency. We both agreed that we weren’t looking to jump into a relationship. And then one date turned into two, nights together turned into weekends together, and plans turned into day trips and impromptu vacations. Each and every step since that first year has been just as amazing. Traveling together, getting through residency and medical school together, picking up two crazy cats along the way. Long distance, board exams, and a pandemic thrown in for good measure, none of it has slowed us down. Our bond has grown stronger and stronger, and we cannot wait for where life takes us next. It’s funny, because looking back we should’ve known from the beginning that we’d be right here.
