Our Story

Patrick and Samantha, or as many of their friends and family call them Packy and Sammy, met at work. At first, they were just friendly co-workers, but their work friends slowly pushed them together without their knowing. At a work happy hour Packy and Sammy spent the whole night talking and planned to meet up at their company holiday party the next night. After a few cocktails (and maybe a couple tequila shots) Patrick asked Sammy to dance and she immediately knew he was the one when he started singing Cold Water by Justin Bieber to her. The next weekend they went on their first date!

For their first date Packy took Sammy to a restaurant in Arlington his friends suggested, waited for her in her apartment lobby while he kept his car running in the parking lot (she hates cold weather). When they got in his car he was playing her favorite song at the time (Matoma ‘Old Thing Back’) and they had a great first date! At the end of their first date Packy told Sammy “this could be your last first date”, little did they both know how true that would be!

They went on date 2, 3, 4… moved in together, moved again, and again, got a doggie child (Otto!). Then one unsuspecting Saturday they were supposed to be meeting up with their families for a nice fall winery day (Sammy’s favorite) Patrick got down on one knee in the middle of the vines, tugged on Sammy’s hand and asked her to be with him for the rest of their lives. Otto ran up gave Mom and Dad lots of kisses and the rest is history!
