Our Story
Love at first sight
I know how cliché it seems when someone says, “It was love at first sight”, I always thought to myself, only in fairytales. Well, it happened to me. The first time I saw Steve, I actually thought to myself: if I go out with this guy, that’s it, he is the one. I had to make sure I was ready for that, ready to settle down, because somehow I knew if I started this relationship it would be my forever one. I knew it from the first day. I know, so cliché.
Destiny
We met at a coffee shop and clicked. Steve’s Chinese name is Xiaolong (Sh-a-ow-Long) which means Little Dragon; some of you may not know but I loved dragons when I was a child (& still do, obviously) and have a dragon tattoo. If that is not destiny, I am not sure what is! Steve is the calm to my storm, where I am harsh he is soft, where he is lost I am his beacon, we complete each other.
So here we are...
So here we are two-years later, two amazing fall road trips, one year of quarantining together, 3 dogs (navigating through cancer and amputation with my heart-dog), 1 naked cat, selling his house, buying our dream home, and so many amazing ups and downs in between. We couldn’t be happier with where we are and where we are going & we cannot wait to celebrate with you!
