Allison and Connor have gone to school together since 7th grade. Allison of course knew who Connor and his “flippy-haired” twin brother/best man Christian were, but they didn't really become friends until one fateful night over a game of…. “ping pong” in 11th grade. Now, Connor (and Groomsmen) Josh were dominating the table when newbie Allison said, “how hard can that be?” and approached thinking she would soon become reigning champ. After a quick 5 minute game of utter humiliation and a bruised ego, Allison instead used her wit and sarcasm to make her mark as their friend... So who really won in the end?

It was the end of Senior Year and Allison and Connor were heading off to ECU and WVU. Like most aspiring college students, they were ready to start a new chapter and spread their wings, but there was one thing that they couldn’t shake… each other. After a summer of dating and falling in love, Connor drove up to visit Allison at WVU in September, where she so subtly asked, “when are you going to ask me to be your girlfriend?” The rest is history!

After being together for 8 years, Connor and Allison knew they had found their forever in each other. They took a trip to one of Allison’s favorite places, Smith Mountain Lake, where her parents have a home. Allison had a feeling something fishy might be going on when 1) her mom said she would pay to get her nails done, 2) they got the best room in the house and 3) Allison was allowed to take the first shower… and as the youngest sibling, that never happens! Not wanting to ruin it for herself she decided not to think too much into it. Before heading out to dinner Allison’s mom mentioned she left her phone down by the fire pit and needed her to go get it. Allison very reluctantly walked down with Connor to find the phone. Once they arrived Connor took her hand and said some very sweet things that Allison wished she could remember but completely blacked out from shock and Connor got down on one knee and popped the question!
