After about two years of living together, TJ was ready to propose. He planned to get down on one knee at Christmas time, one of Allison’s favorite Holidays. All of those who have been around Allison, knows she loves to give gifts and she wants you to instantly use whatever she gave you. Just like every other year, Allison wanted to do one gift before they left for North Carolina. TJ knew he was in trouble when he opened a brand new golf bag, considering he hid the ring in his now old golf bag. After insisting to Allison, he didn’t need her help reorganizing his new golf bag, TJ felt relieved. Although, prior to making the ring switch to the new bag, and on the seven hour drive to North Carolina, Allison didn’t believe TJ liked her gift. But after she had learned the ring was hidden there, it all made sense to her.

TJ proposed to Allison on Sunset Beach at the Kindred Spirit mailbox. The Kindred Spirit mailbox is a spot where friends and family share messages of life and love. TJ and Allison walked 2 miles down the beach to reach their destination. They spent the first few moments at the mailbox reading notes and journal entries from those who had been there before. TJ found a journal entry from a young couple who had been engaged at the same spot. He knew this was the moment to get everything started. After sharing the entry with Allison, he dropped to one knee and asked Allison to marry him. With tears of joy, she said YES!
