Matthew and Angela first met in November of 2020. Even though (in true Angela fashion) her phone died, she lost her glasses, and had to draw a map to the bar in crayon without GPS… Matt’s calm and understanding demeanor completely restarted the date into one of the best nights, where they talked passed last call, and started something they never expected.

The two have experienced so much together, in a relatively brief period of time; from a surrogate twin pregnancy to home renovations, career changes and much more. Through it all they have always tried to make time for each other, and have created new traditions for their little family. From the moment Matt met Angela’s son David, they have had a bond, and Angela is beyond grateful to have such a kind, dependable man as a role model for her son.

Marriage was discussed early on in the relationship as a possibility with time, and after 2 years the future didn’t seem right without making it official. Matt started to look for rings, and even hid it in his bedside table for weeks (unbeknownst to Angela), while waiting for the perfect time to propose. In the end he chose Christmas Eve, when he acted out ‘engagement’ during a family game of charades. Angela didn’t guess correctly, but she did manage to squeak out a “yes” behind a well off tears.

By the wedding date the couple will have been together for 3 years, and are ecstatic to have found each other and spend the rest of their lives together.
