We first met at Otani’s, a hibachi steakhouse. Danny was one of the chefs at the restaurant and ended up cooking at the table that Christina was dining at. They both went their separate ways until about a year to year and a half passed and they were reconnected through social media. After reconnecting they messaged and talked for a few months, since Danny was in Chicago and Christina was still in Virginia. After talking for those few months, they planned a long weekend trip for Christina to visit Danny in Chicago. They spent weekend together where Danny cooked for her and they visited Navy Pier in downtown Chicago. After spending time with one another they became official and started dating.

We decided to have some time off from work for a little stay-cation near the end of July since we had been working hard during the quarantine life of COVID. During our stay-cation we scheduled a nice private horseback trail ride in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Little did Christina know; Danny had contacted the owner to coordinate with her since he wanted to propose on the horseback ride. We went for our horseback trail ride and enjoyed the peace and serenity of the nature in the mountains. We rode past scenic views of a small creek, wildflower pasture, and a hill in the middle of all the surrounding mountains. When we reached the hill surrounded by the mountain views, Danny suggested we get down off the horses and take some pictures. He had the instructor take a photo of us and together, and when Christina went to grab the phone back from her, Danny got down on one knee. Christina turned back around and was surprised, and the instructor grabbed the phone back to get some photos of Danny proposing to Christina. So after 4 years of dating, Christina and Danny are engaged and cannot wait to become husband and wife in September!
