Cindy and Casey first met at Firefly Music Festival in Dover, Delaware in June 2016. Coincidentally, they ended up staying at the same camp site where they each had mutual friends. Although staying at the same camp site, they didn’t speak much at all the whole weekend – (Casey, explain yourself here.)

That was probably the last they thought they’d see of each other.

Fast forward three months later to September where Cindy and Casey once again coincidentally ran into each other at an Arlington bar on a random Thursday night. It looks like fate brought them together once again since they couldn’t get it right the first time.

The rest of their lives together started from that night on.

In May 2019, Cindy and Casey embarked on a big trip to Europe – a first for both – with stops in London, Paris and Brussels. Their first day in Paris started off rough after they were mugged, and Cindy’s phone was stolen on the metro. Thankfully, they were able to turn the trip around after that, including a lovely day touring the monuments.

That day, Cindy wanted to look for the perfect spot to take a photo in front of the Eiffel Tower. They stopped at a quiet walkway that was beautifully lined with trees.

Finally, a trustworthy looking tourist walked by. Casey took this as the perfect opportunity to bend down on one knee to propose! After she said “YES!” they spent the rest of the night roaming Paris, drinking champagne, eating frog legs and celebrating with each other.
