Our Story

Elizabeth and David first met at a Johnnyswim concert in Washington, D.C. Neither knew they were attending a concert with the person with whom they would build their future home.

With a desire for a first date and several friends’ excitement of the match, their first date was on February 01, 2020.

Four weeks into dating, the pandemic changed all our lives, and Elizabeth and David shifted their planned dates around Washington to walks around Capitol Hill and Westover, perfecting meals at home, Zoom happy hours with dear friends, and regular trips to Topsail Beach, North Carolina. Though the pandemic certainly presented its own set of challenges, they were able to spend a lot of time with Elizabeth’s family at the beach throughout the summer and even went on a road trip to Texas to meet David’s family.

On September 19, 2020, David popped the question on the beach at Topsail and celebrated with Elizabeth’s family in-person and David’s on Zoom right after.

They are excited for their new chapter together and what God will do through their marriage and look forward to celebrating their wedding with each of you on June 5th!

Accommodations

We have reserved a block of hotel rooms at the Courtyard by Marriott at the Dulles Town Center in Sterling, VA. (The hotel website says that the hotel is in Dulles, VA, but when using a GPS, you need to say it is in Sterling, VA.) The block has rooms available for any or all of 4 nights: Thursday, June 3 through Sunday, June 6. The room rate includes breakfast. The rooms are being held at a discounted rate until April 30. Covid Precautions

Thank you for the extra effort you are making to join us for our celebration. We want you to know that we take your COVID concerns very seriously. If any changes occur prior to our wedding, we will update our website accordingly.

At the Ceremony:
Following the new CDC guidance and the Virginia governor's announced updates to COVID mitigation measures, starting on May 28th, The Falls Church Anglican will no longer require masks or social distancing for those who are fully vaccinated for our wedding ceremony. During the ceremony, there will be options for seats that are socially distanced for those who would prefer that. Please inform the ushers of your preferences upon entering the sanctuary. We are committed to making sure that all of our guests feel safe and comfortable during our wedding weekend.

At the Reception:
Our venue is an open air barn, and there will be seating options available both inside and outside the barn.

Live Streaming
If you are unable to attend our wedding but still want to join in on the festivities, we will be live streaming the ceremony and reception on our website.
