How it started...

It all started with Bowling, Beers, and a Blind Date

Emily’s brother and sister-in-law decided to play matchmaker, called her on a Friday afternoon and told her she was going with them that night on a blind date. Eric had also told his co-worker, Matt, the same story. That night ended with a first kiss, and started something special.

It didn’t take long for Matt and Emily to find themselves on many more dates, letting each other into their hearts. They were merging their separate lives together and a little family of their own eventually formed with the addition of their yellow lab, Barley.

The Proposal...

During Emily’s family vacation to the Adirondacks, Matt proposed on top of Rocky Mountain, overlooking a very special place, Eagle Bay. “Enter Sandman” and a champagne toast was the celebration waiting for them, and they were thrilled.

From the blind date, to the proposal, it all began with beers and ended with champagne. As their journey continues, they can’t wait to share their special day with their family, friends, and Barley.

The best is yet to be, sitting on the top of the world with their legs hanging free.

Zion Springs is committed to taking steps to prevent the spread of COVID-19 as we closely monitor the latest developments regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) globally and any potential impact it may have on our day-to-day operations and weekend events. In response to growing awareness and concern, our team continues to follow the precautionary guidelines of the CDC and other public health organizations, which include:

• Increased signage outlining advisable precautions (e.g. frequent handwashing, safety recommendations, etc.)
• Regular cleaning of high touch point areas such as stair railings, door handles, arm chairs, restroom surfaces, coffee pot handles, and doorknobs with CDC recommended products.
• Regular cleaning and sanitizing of facility public spaces and rest rooms.
• Adding additional hand sanitizer stations in various locations throughout the facility.
• Additional masks provided to guests if needed.

Providing a safe environment for our clients, visitors, guests and staff is our top priority. Through public health organizations such as, the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO) we are staying abreast of the latest updates and developments as they occur. We are also in close communication with our local public health and government officials to determine what additional safeguards may need to be implemented.

This is an evolving situation, and rest assured that any actions we take will be consistent with guidelines from these agencies.

We have a new set of hotel rooms blocked off at the Hampton Inn or Homewood Suites. Please click the images below to be taken directly to our unique block of rooms.

Currently, our hotel block is all booked at Best Western. It's possible that some may open up later, but we recommend following the Clarion Hotel link for those who are still in need of a room. We recommend booking early since limited rooms are available.

Transportation

Round trip shuttle service will be provided with pick up and drop off from the Hampton Inn and Homewood Suites.

For our out of town guests who need to fly, we recommend IAD - Washington Dulles Airport. From there, it will be a ~30 min drive to the hotel and venue.
