Kelly and Anway met in early-2020 in Washington, DC. The last thing either of them expected to find when they walked into The Smith on February 17 was their soulmate on the other side of the table.  Four hours later, the duo parted ways after tackling everything from politics to family and even sports. Kelly and Anway bonded over their shared appreciation for live performance, the outdoors, travel, healthy doses of competition, of course, and playing devil’s advocate. Soon after they became inseparable.

Their first challenge presented itself when Anway accepted a job in California and they became bicoastal partners-in-crime. On a whirlwind trip back to the east coast Anway joined the Kessler family beach week in North Carolina. On July 4, 2021 just after sunrise, they got engaged on the beach. Their time apart had only solidified their decision to spend the rest of their lives together.

On December 3, 2022, with family and friends gathered, they will take the next step toward forming their own family as the MacKinnon and Mukherjee families become one. They would love for you to help them celebrate the start of the next adventure in their journey.
