In 2012, Lindsay and Paul met at a Thanksgiving dinner party, a “Friendsgiving” dinner, where Paul was asked to give the opening speech. All the guests were dressed in their holiday finest, but Paul decided to show up dressed as Jesus; toting fish and bread in wicker baskets to the potluck gathering. Lindsay and Paul instantly felt a connection when their paths crossed but stayed friends at the time. Two years later, their lives had both shifted and a mutual friend pushed them towards one another.
Lindsay and Paul spent the next four years filling their lives with love and adventure. They visited eighteen states together including Paul’s first west coast experience! They went hiking in North Carolina, camping in West Virginia and to a masquerade ball at the Italian embassy in Washington, DC. They celebrated St. Patrick’s Day in Savannah, Georgia; New Year’s Eve in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Christmas in New York City and Halloween in Salem, Massachusetts. There were countless Sunday morning movies with Paul’s dad, Stephen and many celebrations with Lindsay’s family and parents Lynda and Rich.
2018 brought the best adventure of all – parenthood. The past few years may have been crazy out in the world but their budding family anchored Lindsay and Paul. With a new home and two tiny humans, their bond grew stronger. At Thanksgiving dinner in 2021, Paul proposed in front of Lindsay’s whole family. It was a magical moment that brings Lindsay and Paul on this next adventure – marriage!
