Blake and Michele first caught each other’s eye in Summer 2015. Michele had just started a new job at Custom Ink, where Blake had been working for a few years. It might not have been long before they caught each other’s eye, but it was a few months before they worked up the courage to strike up a friendship, let alone a first date!

Now, it is under debate who exactly asked who out on the eventual first date, but nonetheless, it was decided that they would both enter a raffle at work to win a pair of Capitals tickets – both of their favorite sports team, and a common excuse to start conversation. They agreed if either of them won the raffle, they would invite the other.

Little did Michele know, Blake hastily pulled some strings behind the scenes to make sure he won the tickets. Luckily (or so Michele thought), Blake’s name was pulled! A first date was planned, and so began the beginning of their relationship.
