Sarah Rose and Robert first crossed paths as first responders in Harrisonburg, Virginia – Sarah Rose as a volunteer EMT with the local rescue squad, and Robert as a career firefighter and paramedic with the Harrisonburg Fire Department.

In August 2013, mutual friends took it upon themselves to officially introduce the couple over tacos and fishbowl margaritas at a local Mexican restaurant, Dona Rosa’s. A fun night out with friends eventually led to shared phone numbers, an official first date at the movies, and several surprise dates arranged by Robert himself! Six short months later, Sarah Rose completed her undergraduate degrees at James Madison University (JMU) and the couple decided to move into their first apartment together.

One dog, two careers, three homes, four cars, five beach trips, six Christmases, and seven years later – Robert finally popped the question and (of course) Sarah Rose said yes!

We are so looking forward to starting this new chapter together and couldn’t be more excited to celebrate with all of our friends and family!
